The Wave / Day

The Wave / Day, 120 x 80 cm, Cyanotype on Somerset paper, hair. DK, 2026. A series of 15 prints was captured on 15 hours of a summer day in Denmark capturing the changes in light.

The sun’s path across the sky is documented using the historic photographic technique of cyanotype. Originating in the 19th century, cyanotype is a method for creating images without a camera; instead, the sun acts as the camera, reflecting the Earth’s journey around the sun in shades of blue.
